Nice quick simple cocktail. I am by no means an expert but I feel that it tastes better with rye. Also the Luxardo Maraschino cherry is a must.

As I mentioned in the previous post the thermostat will oscillate differently based on external temperatures. A visual example is bellow where room temperatures went from 24°C to 20°C. With this drop the aquarium temperatures began to immediately oscillate faster due to faster heat loss.
What is the point of running a home server if you don’t manage it?
With a bit of legwork Grafana provides an excellent monitoring and visualization tool. Key stats such as server load, memory, network & disk usage are tracked and alert base on thresholds. I will post some more updates on my home monitoring process over time.
An interesting observation after setting up my aquarium monitoring system is that typical thermostat heaters actually show oscillatory behaviour. Since they startup based on a temperature threshold and stop based on a cut off they oscillate with varying periods based on external temperatures.
I was expecting large variance since this wasn’t an expensive heater but surprisingly all values were within 1°C. I would likely attribute this more to hysteresis rather than the heater.
The whisky sour is a great cocktail but I fear the use of raw egg whites scares alot of people away from it. A somewhat related and interesting thing to note is that acids can actually denature egg whites similar to cooking. Pictured below is a whiskey sour base in a cobbler shaker. Egg whites were left in the acid alcohol mixture for 5 minutes and you can see the egg whites have denatured. Outside of that, there is a properly made whisky sour with maraschino cherry for garnish.
This is a snapshot of my current dashboard I have mounted in my room. All the key stats for my server and network as well as weather details and time.
